Enigma quiet filesystem independent acceptance (2026-10-24)

Accepted repair 2fb0e5205ed38a316ae3fa10f4a06ed166a7e069 against main 9183b84473507ffe7c0598725e080a821c747945 for logger behavior only. The entire production diff, adapter and 6411-byte test oracle were reviewed. The production patch adds one flag and changes both _debugReadFile initializers to TRACE_API && !QUIET_FS. Filesystem reads/error returns, guest API handling, console functions and supervision are unchanged.

The real filesystem oracle passed independently with the pinned historical files: 2000 reads produced 201999 diagnostic bytes before quiet mode and zero afterward, with identical bytes/counts and invalid-handle error 6. Explicit filesystem tracing still emitted two records. Both main/process initializer expressions from actual source were executed. The transformed historical API logger executed 40 requests and retained the 16-record cap. The installed hook preserved fatal stdout, unimplemented stderr and uncaught guard exceptions. Wrong runner/filesystem, current-main-as-historical and missing configuration rejected.

The independent differential executed the original preload transformation against the actual historical input and compared every resulting byte with the new adapter: only both diagnostic initializers additionally change. Its module compile sink captures source; it does not execute the full runner. Real-filesystem and extracted transformed logger executions supply the behavioral oracle. No whole runner, WASM or guest was executed.

Three additional mutations rejected: leaving one context noisy; changing filesystem tracing (rejected at the immutable source binding); and changing the API cap to 17. Pins and outputs remain strict. independent-tests.json records commands, output hashes, fresh MemAvailable and wall times. The trace mutation proves source-identity rejection; the positive real-filesystem trace check proves trace behavior. The initial independent harness compared an env-prefixed command to child argv alone; its retained correction asserts the exact env prefix plus argv. A receipt-construction TypeError was also corrected without gate changes or rerunning completed gates.

Replacement child argv is exactly the original with the old preload replaced by the adapter and the separate unchanged capture preload. All eight providers, asset tree, clock/defaults, batching, input, memory, counters and API selection remain byte-exact. Environment removes the same two Wine variables and retains capture installation, adding only the adapter root. Existing provider graph, 527 native bindings, module/source pins and canonical tree receipt are reused by identity in reused-evidence.json; completed binding gates were not repeated. Original capture/supervisor/argv were rehashed against producer identities. Both failed producer fixtures and all 19 repair blobs are preserved byte-exact. source-bindings.json records exact inputs and copied paths.

The producer's retained 131072-byte synthetic file-guard rejection was reviewed and reused. The guard limit is unchanged. The next command requires separately admitted coordinator-owned guarded execution and fresh actual mount-parser validation. This review provides no startup/menu/gameplay acceptance. No full build, instantiation, guest, browser, acquisition, deployment or box action occurred. No box is assigned; both original boxes are coordinator-reported stopped and lifecycle ownership stays with the coordinator.

Resource admission covers focused Git/source/temp/evidence, full external session/events/history, positive SQLite growth/future allowance and an 8 MiB reserve within 64 MiB. Limits remain 24 MiB/file, host free floor 2982150144, Node heap 256 MiB and cheap-test CPU/wall 60 seconds. Capture accounting conservatively includes earlier instruction/Git stderr output; subsequent alternate-depth stderr is retained in the task-root file. Final resource/publication/cleanup receipts reside at /tmp/enigma-quiet-fs-independent-integrate-oct24/. Copied review recipes document that exact task-root layout. Conditional integration uses the exclusive shared lock, current-main reconciliation, exact final blob verification and atomic nonforce main/task publication.
