Independent event observer acceptance — 2026-10-24

Verdict: PASS for offline JavaScript boundary observation. Candidate 0305cc6e465a5d8fda3ea130924c43db93dc7c0a; freshly fetched main 4ba28bf1d8b0644f237e8a4f29f54241446b1bcd. Producer code and focused suite remain unchanged. Coordinator packaging verification of the twenty sealed payloads was reused.

The unchanged focused suite and prior compatibility suite pass. Inspection binds the transform to the pinned runner and scheduler SHA. The runner passes its single wrapped instance into ctx.exports and ThreadManager; ordinary, parallel and cooperative direct sites retain their existing calls/catches. The focused suite executes the exact pinned _dispatchCooperativeSend method, including target.run(1000000). The facade keeps one shared export identity; other export functions and descriptors retain identity. It maps a method receiver back to original exports, preserving detached receivers, arguments, return and thrown object identity.

Independent.cjs tests frozen null-prototype exports with an inherited instance exports accessor, SharedArrayBuffer read-only bytes, complete spans at the actual buffer boundary, guest-address wraparound rejection, unsupported mapping rejection, conflicting API metadata versus explicitly unverified missing-metadata fallback, logger failure and zero caps. Three producer-source mutants are rejected: receiver substitution, missing whole-buffer bound, and unrelated API ID trigger. The unchanged candidate suite separately rejects six mutants and covers shifted head events, arrivals and preexisting reason8, missing exports, stack/fdset/timeval capture, counts not execution and scheduler observation. CLI controls confirm disabled byte identity, exclusive output, input preservation and syntax of both generated runners.

Two independent fixture failures are retained: initial syntax typo, then a mutation affecting only the dormant stopped branch. Corrected the test syntax and used replaceAll so both active and stopped receiver branches are mutated. No producer code or oracle expectation was repaired. No unchanged denied operation was retried.

Memory reads use the direct affine mapping only, with a conservative lower GUEST_BASE bound and whole-span checks before DataView reads. Lower direct-window addresses, sparse and DIB memory remain unsupported. fdsets are count-validated <=64 with at most two sockets captured; timeval is raw words, not proof of a valid timeout. Deadline remains unavailable. No translation helper, mutator, extra run, cache/yield clear or breakpoint is added. Records stop at caps or sink failure; execution continues. Entry counts do not establish execution. Head visits wholly within one invocation remain unobserved; API completion/result remain unobserved/unattributed. Snapshot concurrency is not qualified by SharedArrayBuffer fixtures.

Native/guest acceptance NOT RUN. No compilation, module instantiation, acquisition, box operations, deployment, other workers or Claude work. No claim of original-game causality or measured overhead. Coordinator owns lifecycle; historical bx_qp99542b reported STOPPED, host bx_69aem736 untouched. No box assigned.

Evidence is in the sibling directory, including inherited resource charges/deficiencies, resource gate, full test receipts, supervisor and executable controls. A recursive initial filename search unexpectedly captured launcher event paths; conservative 128KiB was charged against the 2MiB capture allowance, and this read-accounting deficiency remains explicit. Exact committed-tree checks and verified publication/resource/cleanup receipts are retained in /tmp/maelstrom-event-observer-independent-integrate-oct24/ops. No root tracked/index/ref or donor mutation occurred. Watcher is terminated at final handoff.
